ALBIS is strengthening its international market presence with the acquisition of majority stake in Brazilian distributor Tecnomatiz.
The move into Latin America marks an important milestone for the company’s global growth. Together with Tecnomatiz, ALBIS will now also make its product solutions available to customers in Brazil. Brazil is one of the world’s leading economies and offers an economically attractive environment with a dynamic economy, a strong domestic market, and international connections. “Entering the Brazilian market is an important milestone on ALBIS’ path to global presence,” emphasizes CEO Horst Klink. “With Tecnomatiz – An ALBIS Group Company, we are creating the ideal platform to establish a long-term foothold in the Latin American market and unlock the region’s market potential.”
Since its founding in 1973, Tecnomatiz Resinas Ltda. has developed into a leading supplier in the Brazilian plastics industry. The distributor of engineering plastics enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry, backed by long-standing customer relationships and a broad, well-established network. It will continue to operate under its established name and will be managed by Managing Director Sergio Salinas. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to develop the company further with ALBIS’ renowned distribution partners and to offer our customers an even broader range of excellent product solutions and services,” said Salinas. The existing partnerships with BASF and Envalior will be continued and gradually supplemented by additional distribution partners.
The goal is to make the complete product and service portfolio of ALBIS available in Brazil. Pablo Esteras, Managing Director of ALBIS Iberia and Regional Sales Director Latin America is responsible for ensuring a smooth integration and will lead ALBIS’ operations in Brazil and the LATAM region. “ALBIS has established a leading market position, particularly in the EMEA region, and built up a wealth of expertise,“ says Pablo Esteras. “We are now bringing that experience and network to Latin America in a focused and strategic way. Entering this new market is an exciting challenge. I am proud to help shape this process and support ALBIS on its way to becoming a truly global organization.”
