Grip For Every Trail: Continental expands MTB tire lineup with three new models

In a major upgrade to its mountain biking portfolio, Continental has officially launched three new high-performance MTB tires — Dubnital, Trinotal, and Magnotal — designed to meet the evolving demands of modern riders across cross-country (XC), downcountry, and all-mountain disciplines.

These new models replace Continental’s legendary Race King, Cross King, and Mountain King ProTection tires, offering cutting-edge improvements in speed, control, and durability. Developed with direct input from elite athletes and validated through rigorous field testing, the launch represents a significant step forward in Continental’s mission to deliver grip for every trail.

“With the introduction of Dubnital, Trinotal, and Magnotal, we are proud to complete the overhaul of our MTB lineup, finally replacing our iconic ‘Kings’,” said Alexander Haenke, Product Manager for MTB & Gravel at Continental Tires. “We’ve tested these tires with gold-medal-winning athletes to ensure they perform at the highest level — now it’s your turn to push their limits.”

The all-rounder of the new lineup, Magnotal succeeds the Mountain King and is tailored for aggressive all-mountain and trail riders. It performs reliably across hard, loose, and muddy terrains, delivering a perfect balance between performance and control.
