Interface launches Noravant, ushering in a new era of rubber flooring

Interface introduces Noravant, marking a new chapter in high-performance and sustainable rubber flooring solutions.

Interface, Inc., a global leader in flooring and sustainability, has introduced noravant™, a new PVC-free resilient flooring solution designed to combine performance, design flexibility, and reduced environmental impact. The first product in the line, noravant timber, features the industry’s first woodgrain design in rubber flooring and is now available across the Americas and select EMEA markets.

The new addition expands Interface’s rubber portfolio, which already includes noraplan® and norament®, giving designers more options for high-performing spaces such as patient rooms, classrooms, waiting areas, and corridors.

Key Features of noravant:

  • PVC-Free: Responds to growing demand for alternative resilient flooring.

  • Design Flexibility: Allows for versatile aesthetic applications across commercial interiors.

  • High Performance: Offers enhanced resistance to chemicals, stains, and wear, with simple maintenance.

  • Longevity: Engineered to last up to 35 years.

  • Low Carbon Footprint: Supports sustainable building practices and reduces project environmental impact.

Built on advanced R&D and product engineering, noravant features a multi-layered construction for durability and design freedom. Its proprietary ShieldForm™ surface technology ensures chemical and stain resistance while simplifying cleaning and long-term upkeep.

“noravant represents a significant step forward in rubber flooring,” said Anne Marie Lisko, Vice President of Global Product Category Management at Interface. “It brings together high performance, design innovation, and sustainability in a PVC-free solution that meets today’s commercial demands.”

Woodgrain Innovation : The launch product, noravant timber, delivers a biophilic-inspired oak pattern suitable for a variety of commercial interiors. This first-of-its-kind woodgrain design enhances aesthetic appeal while maintaining the performance standards expected from rubber flooring. Interface plans to expand the noravant line with additional styles to increase creative possibilities for designers.

Sustainability at the Core : Noravant supports Interface’s commitment to achieving carbon negativity by 2040. The product incorporates 10% post-industrial recycled content and bio-based materials and can be recycled at Interface’s specialized facility in Germany. It is part of the company’s broader take-back program and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® at the Silver level.

Interface continues to offer innovative solutions across its portfolio, which includes Interface® carpet tile and LVT, nora® rubber flooring, and FLOR® premium area rugs, blending design, performance, and sustainability.
