Matrix plastic products invests in new manufacturing site to drive future growth

Matrix Plastic Products invests in a new manufacturing site to expand production capacity and support long-term growth in the plastics sector.

Matrix Plastic Products, a family-owned company established in 1978, is preparing to relocate to a new 88,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bloomingdale, Illinois. The move, scheduled to begin in March 2026 and completed in three phases, will significantly increase the company’s operational capacity and support its continued growth, particularly in the medical device OEM sector.

With nearly five decades of experience, the company specializes in plastic injection molding, moldmaking, and precision manufacturing for industries including medical devices, electronics, and personal care. The new site will provide approximately three times the space of its current location, enabling more efficient production layouts and improved workflow optimization.

Company representatives noted that the relocation represents an important milestone, allowing the organization to design production processes more effectively while preparing for future expansion. To minimize disruptions during the transition, the company is building several months of safety stock. This strategy ensures customer supply continuity while equipment is transferred, reinstalled, and revalidated at the new facility.

The expansion is also viewed as a long-term investment in both customers and employees. Increased floor space will enable the addition of new programs, advanced equipment, and upgraded technologies while maintaining the existing workforce. Looking ahead, the company aims to sustain growth while continuing to deliver consistent quality and reliability to its customers.

The new facility is expected to position Matrix Plastic Products for continued development through 2027 and beyond, strengthening its role as a trusted manufacturing partner in high-performance markets.
