Tyre manufacturer Michelin has strengthened its presence in Pune with the inauguration of three new authorised Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) stores, launched in collaboration with Darshan Tyres.
Strategically located in Hadapsar, Camp, and Chinchwad—three of Pune’s prominent automotive and commercial hubs—the new outlets are aimed at enhancing accessibility and convenience for customers across the city.
The newly opened facilities, spanning 2,500 sq. ft., 1,500 sq. ft., and 2,500 sq. ft. respectively, have been designed to cater to the rapidly growing segment of premium and high-performance vehicle owners in the region. Each MTS outlet is equipped to offer Michelin’s complete portfolio of passenger car tyres, covering a wide range of vehicles from compact cars to luxury sedans and SUVs.
Beyond product availability, the stores are positioned as comprehensive service centres, featuring advanced diagnostic systems and high-precision equipment. Customers can access a full suite of tyre-related services, including wheel alignment, balancing, tyre fitting, rotation, puncture repair, and replacement. The integration of modern tools and trained technicians ensures consistent service quality and adherence to global standards, enhancing vehicle safety, performance, and tyre longevity.
Speaking at the inauguration, Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, emphasised that the expansion is part of the company’s broader growth strategy in the Indian market. He noted that Michelin is preparing to introduce Made-in-India passenger car tyres, a move that reflects its long-term commitment to local manufacturing, supply chain strengthening, and delivering products tailored to Indian driving conditions while maintaining global performance benchmarks.
The partnership with Darshan Tyres plays a key role in this expansion. With an established network of 11 retail outlets and two state-of-the-art detailing studios, Darshan Tyres brings strong regional expertise, operational efficiency, and a customer-centric service approach. This collaboration enables Michelin to further penetrate key urban markets while ensuring high-quality retail and after-sales experiences for its customers.
