Pegaso Industries expands again: a new production structure takes shape in Borgoricco

Pegaso Industries announces a new manufacturing structure in Borgoricco, strengthening production capacity and operational efficiency.

Pegaso Industries expands again: a new production structure takes shape in Borgoricco. There comes a time in the life of an industrial group when growth moves beyond financial figures and becomes a tangible transformation of space, organization and long-term vision. For Pegaso Industries, that time is now. The Veneto-based group, an international benchmark in systems for plastics treatment and processing, has completed a major expansion of its industrial hub in Borgoricco, the strategic heart of its manufacturing operations.

With consolidated revenues exceeding €100 million, six non-European subsidiaries and more than 650 employees worldwide, Pegaso Industries ranks among Italy’s most dynamic players in the sector, driven by sustained order growth and steady international expansion over recent years. The decision to further strengthen the industrial structure is the direct result of measurable and structural growth. In the last fiscal year, PET Solutions recorded a 25% increase in sales, while Blauwer achieved 20% growth, confirming a solid and continuous expansion trend.

Rising global demand and increasingly complex projects have made it essential to enhance both production and logistics capacity at the Padua site. In line with this development path, Pegaso Industries increased its workforce by 13% in 2025 and forecasts a further 20% expansion in 2026, reflecting a planned growth strategy that integrates people, production capacity and infrastructure within a coherent long-term vision. As part of this strategy, the group has completed the acquisition of a building adjacent to its existing headquarters.

The facility will be fully integrated—both physically and operationally—into the current plant, creating a more cohesive and interconnected production complex. At the same time, an additional adjacent area will be dedicated to finished-machine logistics, with a structured zone designed specifically for loading and shipping operations. The forecourt in front of PET Solutions will also be reorganized to accommodate a dedicated finished-product handling area, optimizing truck flows and reducing waiting times.

This intervention goes beyond a simple increase in surface area, directly improving overall supply chain efficiency. The new building will house highly specialized departments, including laser cutting, sawing, turning, bending, welding, trimming, rolling, polishing and shot blasting of finished products. This comprehensive industrial configuration further strengthens vertical integration of steel production processes, supported by the introduction of new machinery and advanced technologies. The expansion will also reinforce Steel Systems, which will benefit from a dedicated and enhanced structure.

The project includes a strategic reorganization of existing internal spaces, aimed at optimizing the functional layout among the group’s companies to support the next phase of production growth. Within this framework, PET Solutions will double its operational capacity, enabling the management of higher volumes, more complex projects and increasingly competitive lead times. The expansion represents a key milestone, providing significantly extended production areas, more efficient workflows and a structure designed to support future development.

Blauwer will also benefit from a substantial increase in production capacity. Expanded space and optimized internal organization will sustain the steady growth in orders recorded in recent years, strengthening the company’s position within the group and enhancing its competitiveness in international markets. This is not merely a quantitative expansion, but a structural step forward that enables greater operational autonomy, improved production planning and faster response times. With this expansion, the Borgoricco hub will exceed 100,000 square meters of combined production and logistics space, consolidating its role as the group’s primary industrial hub.

The objective is not simply to produce more, but to produce better: reducing lead times, increasing flexibility, optimizing internal processes and delivering an even higher level of service to customers. In an increasingly competitive and dynamic market, responsiveness is a decisive factor—and Pegaso Industries has chosen to invest proactively to anticipate future needs. This expansion marks not only a physical enlargement of the Padua site, but a strategic evolution that reshapes the group’s production structure, strengthens integration among its companies and lays the foundations for a new phase of industrial development.
