Global tire manufacturers are accelerating investments in sustainable materials, EV-focused products and OE partnerships across automotive sectors.
Eni is investing €900 million in circular chemistry and recycling projects in Italy, while Linglong Tire unveiled an 85% sustainable-material concept tire as part of its goal to achieve fully sustainable tires by 2040.
Major tire makers including Bridgestone, Continental AG, Nexen Tire and Pirelli expanded OE supply agreements with leading automakers such as Volkswagen, BMW, Jeep, Hyundai, Kia and Porsche. The developments highlight growing demand for EV-compatible, fuel-efficient and high-performance tires.
At the same time, manufacturers are strengthening smart tire technologies and sustainability initiatives, with companies including Yokohama Rubber Company, Sumitomo Rubber Ind ustriesand JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. introducing AI-driven development, recycled materials and intelligent monitoring systems for next-generation mobility.
