Taghleef Industries Unveils New White Polyolefin TD Shrink Sleeve Film, Expanding SHAPE360® Portfolio

Taghleef Industries announces the launch of its latest innovation: SHAPE360® TDSW a high-performance floatable white polyolefin TD shrink sleeve label film. This new film delivers optimal opacity, by maintaining the crucial low-density properties essential for recyclability, mirroring its clear counterpart, SHAPE360® TDS.

SHAPE360® TDSW enables the application of opaque white labels to clear PET bottles, improving print quality with its glossy finish while still supporting the reuse of PET bottle material in the bottle-to-bottle recycling.

A Taghleef  key feature of SHAPE360® TDSW is its inherent floatability, achieved through its low density. This characteristic facilitates efficient separation of polyolefin (PO) label flakes from rigid PET bottle flakes during the recycling process, resulting in cleaner PET recyclate and a substantial reduction in plastic waste. Furthermore, the film is designed for high ink adhesion, preventing ink bleeding during recycling and ensuring optimal recyclate purity.

When used on PE containers, the labels and containers are part of a single PO compatible recycling stream. Diana Dedeic, Product Manager at Taghleef Industries stated, “This new white polyolefin shrink sleeve film represents a significant leap in labeling innovation. Building upon our existing SHAPE360® portfolio, which includes clear options in 50, 45, and the recently added 42-micron thicknesses, this development underscores our dedication to fulfilling market needs for diverse and thinner solutions optimized for recycling.”

All films within the SHAPE360® portfolio are designed toensure industry-leading recyclability standards, offering forward-thinking solutions for innovative and sustainable packaging formats.
