Expansion strengthens Olam Agri’s natural rubber processing network and supports growing demand across key global tyre and rubber markets
Olam Agri is strengthening its position in the global natural rubber industry by expanding its processing activities across Asia and Africa. The company’s operations span key rubber-producing regions, supporting the sourcing, processing and supply of natural rubber to international customers.
The company operates across the natural rubber value chain, connecting rubber producers with processing facilities and global markets. Its activities include sourcing raw materials, processing natural rubber and supplying specifications tailored to the requirements of tyre manufacturers and other rubber product producers.
Asia remains a major centre of Olam Agri’s natural rubber activities, supported by established sourcing and processing operations in important producing countries. The company also has a growing presence in Africa, where investments in processing infrastructure are helping strengthen regional rubber value chains.
The expansion comes as global tyre and rubber manufacturers continue to seek reliable supplies of high-quality natural rubber. Natural rubber remains an essential raw material for tyres, automotive components and a wide range of industrial rubber products.
Olam Agri’s integrated approach allows it to work closely with producers while improving processing capabilities and maintaining consistent material quality. Such supply-chain integration is becoming increasingly important as manufacturers seek greater visibility, reliability and efficiency in raw-material sourcing.
The company’s natural rubber business also forms part of its broader food, feed and fibre agribusiness portfolio. Olam Agri currently operates across more than 30 countries and has been pursuing a growth strategy focused on strengthening its capabilities and expanding its presence in strategic markets.
The company’s wider transformation has gained momentum following the completion of the sale of a 44.58% stake in Olam Agri to Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) in April 2026. The transaction gave SALIC an 80.01% controlling stake in Olam Agri and is expected to support a more ambitious investment and growth agenda.
With continued investment in processing, sourcing and supply-chain capabilities, Olam Agri is positioned to strengthen its role in the international natural rubber market and support the evolving requirements of the global tyre and rubber industries.
