Four-day plastics exhibition attracts more than 55,000 visitors, with over 110 machines sold and potential follow-up business estimated at ₹500 crore
HIPLEX 2026 concluded in Hyderabad with strong business activity, generating more than ₹150 crore in transactions during the four-day exhibition. The event also recorded sales of over 110 plastics processing and ancillary machines, highlighting robust demand for advanced manufacturing technologies in India’s plastics industry.
Organised by the Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA) at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, the exhibition attracted more than 55,000 visitors from India and overseas. The attendees included manufacturers, buyers, technology providers, investors, entrepreneurs and other industry professionals.
Machinery emerged as one of the strongest-performing segments at the exhibition. According to the organisers, more than 110 machines were sold, while approximately 75% of the ancillary equipment displayed by participating companies was also sold. Several exhibitors secured orders for multiple machines, alongside generating additional enquiries and potential business opportunities.
The organisers estimate that enquiries and prospective orders generated during HIPLEX 2026 could translate into an additional ₹500 crore in business over the coming months. The expected activity could create further opportunities across plastics manufacturing, machinery, logistics, services and supporting industries.
The exhibition showcased a broad range of technologies covering plastics processing machinery, raw materials, moulds, automation systems, recycling equipment, bio-polymers and packaging solutions. Live machinery demonstrations allowed visitors to assess new technologies and explore opportunities to improve productivity, automation and manufacturing efficiency.
A dedicated Recycling Pavilion was another major attraction, demonstrating technologies that convert plastic waste into commercially useful products. The pavilion reflected the industry’s growing focus on recycling, resource efficiency and circular economy solutions.
The strong visitor turnout and business response underline the expanding demand for modern plastics processing technologies in India. The organisers expect the connections and leads generated at the exhibition to support new investments, technology adoption and manufacturing capacity expansion in the months ahead.
