Godavari Biorefineries has secured a European patent for its biofiller technology developed for rubber reinforcement. The European Patent Office granted patent EP3313916 on August 12, 2026, covering an invention titled “A Biofiller for Rubber Reinforcement.” The company disclosed the development to the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
The patented technology is intended to provide an efficient, cost-effective and biodegradable alternative to conventional carbon black, which is widely used to reinforce rubber products. The biofiller is engineered to partially replace carbon black while maintaining or improving important mechanical properties.
