Jiangsu CDSR Technology Co., Ltd. showcased its oil suction and discharge hose technology at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, highlighting its capabilities in marine fluid transfer and offshore energy applications. The event brings together industry professionals, equipment manufacturers and technology providers involved in offshore exploration, production and environmental protection.
The offshore oil-transfer industry is increasingly seeking equipment that offers improved durability, operational reliability and environmental safety. Hoses used in marine terminals and offshore facilities must withstand pressure fluctuations, repeated bending, abrasive surroundings and demanding operating conditions while reducing the risk of leakage and downtime.
CDSR specialises in high-performance rubber products and large-diameter fluid-transfer solutions for marine and dredging operations. The company traces its origins to the Danyang Ship Rubber Factory, established in 1971, giving it more than five decades of experience in industrial rubber-product design and manufacturing.
Its marine hose portfolio is designed for Single Point Mooring (SPM) systems, which enable tankers to load and discharge crude oil and refined petroleum products offshore. The hoses connect floating buoys with tankers or subsea pipelines and are manufactured to meet the demanding requirements associated with offshore oil-transfer operations, including GMPHOM 2009 compliance.
The company also produces dredging hoses used to transport abrasive materials such as sand, sediment and slurry. Its product range includes suction hoses, discharge hoses and floating discharge hoses, supporting applications such as port maintenance, waterway deepening and land reclamation. CDSR has been producing dredging hoses since 1990 and developed its floating discharge hose in 1996.
The oil suction and discharge hoses presented at OTC are intended for applications including offshore terminals and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. These systems require hoses capable of handling internal pressure, tensile loads, dynamic movement and exposure to seawater and other harsh external conditions.
Key design features include high-tensile synthetic cord reinforcement, oil-resistant rubber lining and reinforced end connections. These components are intended to support pressure management, resistance to crude oil and petroleum products, and reliable coupling during fluid-transfer operations.
CDSR’s participation at OTC provided an opportunity to demonstrate its technical capabilities and discuss the role of specialised rubber hoses in offshore energy infrastructure. The company’s product focus reflects the wider industry emphasis on equipment reliability, international standards and safer fluid-transfer operations.
