Aimplas Launches First HI!-Plastics Seminar for High-Performance Plastic Materials

Aimplas launches first HI!-Plastics seminar on advanced plastic materials

Aimplas, the Plastics Technology Centre based in Valencia, Spain, will host the first edition of HI!-Plastics, an international seminar dedicated to advanced plastic materials, on October 6–7, 2026. The event aims to bring together companies, research organizations, technology centers, and innovation experts to explore the latest developments in high-performance plastics and their industrial applications.

Designed as a collaborative platform, HI!-Plastics will showcase cutting-edge research, real-world industrial challenges, and emerging technologies through technical presentations, poster sessions, and networking opportunities. The seminar seeks to strengthen collaboration across the plastics value chain and encourage new national and international R&D partnerships.

The two-day program is organized into five technical sessions covering advanced composites and structural materials, fire-resistant plastic materials, functional materials and advanced manufacturing processes, energy and dual-use technologies, and industrial coatings with advanced properties.

Industry experts from leading organizations will present innovations in composite materials, engineering plastics, flame-retardant technologies, advanced manufacturing, mobility applications, renewable energy, and high-performance coatings. Topics will include next-generation composite structures, sustainable fire-protection solutions, functional polymers, wave-energy applications, and self-healing and anti-icing coating technologies.

By bringing together researchers, manufacturers, and technology providers, HI!-Plastics aims to accelerate innovation in advanced plastics while supporting the development of high-performance materials for sectors including automotive, aerospace, construction, energy, and industrial manufacturing.
