State clears 32 industrial projects under incentive schemes, driving investments, employment, and expansion across key manufacturing sectors.
The Gujarat Government has approved 32 industrial projects worth ₹2,999 crore under various industrial incentive schemes, reinforcing the state’s commitment to expanding manufacturing, attracting investments, and generating employment. The approvals were granted during high-level committee meetings chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
The approved projects span a broad range of industries, including automobiles, metals, cement, concrete, plastics, ceramics, chemicals, paper, textiles, and pharmaceuticals. Together, these investments are expected to create more than 6,000 direct employment opportunities, further strengthening Gujarat’s position as one of India’s leading industrial destinations.
As part of the approvals, the committee issued Final Eligibility Certificates to large industrial units under the state’s incentive programmes. An additional project involving an investment of ₹649.23 crore was also approved, with the potential to generate around 871 direct jobs.
The State-Level Empowered Committee also sanctioned financial assistance for three textile manufacturing units under the Scheme for Assistance to Strengthen Specific Segments in the Textile Value Chain–2019. These textile projects represent investments of approximately ₹165 crore and are expected to create nearly 500 additional direct jobs.
The approvals align with Gujarat’s broader industrial development strategy, which focuses on promoting manufacturing, enhancing infrastructure, and encouraging investment through attractive incentive schemes. According to the state government, its industrial policies have already attracted investments of over ₹1.48 lakh crore while generating approximately 1.65 lakh direct jobs across multiple sectors.
The latest approvals reinforce Gujarat’s reputation as a preferred manufacturing hub by encouraging investment across traditional and high-growth industries. With continued policy support and infrastructure development, the state aims to accelerate industrial expansion, strengthen supply chains, and contribute significantly to India’s long-term manufacturing and economic growth.
