Order for nylon cord reinforced grooved rubber sole plates strengthens Ameenji Rubber’s railway infrastructure portfolio and supports long-term order book growth.
Ameenji Rubber Limited has received a purchase order worth approximately ₹4.20 crore from Southern Railway for the manufacture and supply of 6 mm thick nylon cord reinforced grooved rubber sole plates. The contract further strengthens the company’s presence in India’s railway infrastructure sector and expands its growing portfolio of railway component orders.
The order covers the supply of nylon cord reinforced grooved rubber sole plates manufactured in accordance with Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) specifications and applicable technical standards. These engineered rubber components are installed beneath railway tracks to reduce vibration, absorb impact loads, enhance track stability, and extend the service life of railway infrastructure.
According to the purchase order, deliveries will be carried out in phases, with the rate contract remaining valid until 31 March 2027. The company confirmed that the order has been awarded by a domestic government entity and that it does not involve any related-party transaction.
The latest contract follows a series of recent railway orders secured by Ameenji Rubber, highlighting the company’s growing role as a supplier of specialised non-tyre rubber products for Indian Railways. Its product portfolio includes composite grooved rubber sole plates, bridge bearings, expansion joints, railway crossing pads, and other engineered rubber solutions used across rail and infrastructure projects.
With continued investments in railway modernisation and track renewal across India, demand for high-performance elastomeric components is expected to remain strong. Rubber sole plates play a critical role in improving track durability, reducing maintenance requirements, and enhancing operational safety for railway networks.
