CMG has opened a new manufacturing subsidiary in India as the company expands its presence in one of the world’s growing markets for plastics processing and recycling. The new operation, CMG India, was unveiled at PRS India 2026 and is located in Pune.
The company said the investment reflects the growing opportunities in India driven by industrial production, infrastructure development, regulatory developments and increasing attention to the quality of recycled materials. The new subsidiary is intended to bring CMG closer to plastics processors, recyclers and plant manufacturers operating in the Indian market.
CMG India will combine local expertise with the company’s technology and quality standards. By establishing a manufacturing presence within India, CMG expects to improve delivery times and competitiveness while providing more direct technical assistance to customers.
The Pune facility will also enable CMG to develop solutions tailored more closely to the requirements of Indian plastics processors and recyclers. The company said local manufacturing will support faster response times and greater technical continuity for customers.
CMG CEO Giorgio Santella said the company views India not simply as a new market but as an important hub for the development of advanced plastics recycling. According to the company, establishing a local structure will allow it to support customers through technology, technical expertise and closer operational relationships.
The company is focusing its Indian operations on innovation, regrind quality, energy efficiency and customised recycling solutions. CMG said these areas are becoming increasingly important as recyclers seek reliable processes capable of producing consistent, high-quality recycled materials.
The expansion comes as India’s plastics recycling sector continues to develop alongside greater attention to recycled-material quality and processing efficiency. For machinery suppliers, a local manufacturing and support base can provide opportunities to respond more quickly to changing requirements from recyclers and plastics manufacturers.
