Rubber Board to Launch Digital Platform for Rubber Planters

The proposed platform is expected to connect rubber growers with market information, services and other resources while strengthening digital support across the sector.

The Rubber Board is preparing to launch a dedicated digital platform aimed at providing rubber planters with easier access to information and services. The initiative is part of wider efforts to strengthen digital engagement with growers and improve access to resources across India’s natural rubber sector.

The platform is expected to bring relevant information for rubber growers together in a single digital environment, potentially making it easier for planters to access updates, services and sector-related resources. The initiative comes as the Rubber Board continues to expand its use of digital tools in rubber cultivation and stakeholder services.

The Board has already been developing digital systems for different parts of the natural rubber value chain. Its Bharat Sustainable Natural Rubber (BSNR) platform, for example, connects farmers, dealers, processors, manufacturers and exporters through a shared digital system for sustainability and EUDR-related compliance. Registration, plot mapping, risk assessment and documentation are provided free to farmers on that platform.

The Rubber Board has also supported digital information systems such as the Comprehensive Rubber Information Systems Portal (CRISP), which provides geographical and sector-related information for stakeholders including Rubber Producers’ Societies, processing centres, nurseries and regional offices. The associated mobile application was updated in June 2026.

Digitalisation is becoming increasingly relevant for India’s rubber industry as growers and other stakeholders require timely information on cultivation practices, market conditions, sustainability requirements and government support. The Rubber Board’s website currently provides daily domestic and international natural rubber price information, alongside training programmes and cultivation-related resources.

The Board has also recently published guidelines for mitigating the effects of El Niño on natural rubber cultivation, reflecting the growing importance of providing growers with timely technical information on weather-related risks.

For rubber planters, a dedicated digital platform could provide a more direct channel for accessing information and interacting with sector institutions. It could also complement existing digital systems by bringing additional grower-focused services into a more accessible format.

The proposed initiative highlights the Rubber Board’s continuing move toward digital services and data-based support for India’s rubber-growing community. As the platform develops, its effectiveness will depend on the range of services offered and how easily growers across different regions can access and use them.
