SGS introduces Renault-compliant rubber testing services in China, strengthening automotive quality and compliance standards.
We are excited to announce that our Guangzhou laboratory now offers rubber material testing fully aligned with Renault’s specifications, making it the only facility in China with this capability.
For over 30 years, our rubber materials laboratory in France has partnered closely with Renault. Leveraging this long-standing expertise, we have extended the same validated testing protocols, equipment standards, and quality controls to our Guangzhou team, ensuring full consistency with Renault’s global requirements.
This capability has been confirmed through a recent technical audit, which verified that the results from our Guangzhou laboratory closely match those from Renault’s own testing facilities. The audit demonstrates compliance with Renault’s global standards for accuracy, reliability, and technical credibility.
Our Guangzhou lab offers a wide range of rubber testing services, complementing our existing capabilities in plastics, metals, coatings, and other automotive materials. This enables end-to-end support throughout the development lifecycle—from raw material evaluation and formulation optimization to performance verification and environmental compliance—for R&D, validation, and mass-production phases.
With extensive experience in China’s automotive market, our team has collaborated with leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, providing practical and locally responsive solutions that remain fully aligned with international standards.
Local access to Renault-aligned testing in China helps reduce development timelines, improve consistency across the supply chain, and support faster validation of materials. For suppliers, our Guangzhou laboratory acts as a trusted technical partner, assisting in performance enhancement, compliance with OEM requirements, and accelerated project timelines. For Renault, this localized capability enhances supply chain efficiency while lowering cross-regional testing costs and operational complexity.
