Negri Bossi Nissei strengthens presence in German injection moulding market

Negri Bossi Nissei strengthens its presence in Germany’s injection moulding market with expanded operations and support.

Negri Bossi Nissei, the Japanese-Italian injection moulding machine manufacturer, is expanding its footprint in Europe’s largest manufacturing market. The company is introducing the latest models from its fully electric NOVA 5eT series to Germany and simultaneously expanding its local service network.

The NOVA 5eT series, first unveiled at K 2022, was developed collaboratively by Japan-based Nissei, which provided the machine’s all-electric core, and Italy-based Negri Bossi, responsible for its external design. Following the companies’ 2020 merger, Nissei is set to merge with Toyo under the GMS Group in the near future.

After showcasing new models at K 2025 and receiving strong interest across several European markets, Negri Bossi Nissei is now introducing the latest generation of the NOVA 5eT machines to German manufacturers. The new models will be on display at Fakuma 2026, scheduled from 12 to 16 October in Friedrichshafen.

The NOVA 5eT combines high-precision servo-electric drives with a dynamic clamping unit designed for fast cycle times. Uniform pressure distribution to the mould helps protect tooling and ensure consistent parts. A new standard screw improves plasticisation stability and reduces defects, while a swiveling injection unit simplifies cleaning and nozzle changes.

The platform is particularly suited for applications in medical cleanrooms and silicone processing, as well as electrical and electronics production. At its core is Nissei’s TACT5 controller, which functions as a central network hub, connecting auxiliary equipment and manufacturing execution systems (MES) via OPC UA for transparent, end-to-end production monitoring. The NOVA 5eT is part of the company’s “N-Constellation” framework, integrating machines into digitally connected production cells.

To support its expansion, Negri Bossi Nissei is also growing its German service network. ISS Schildmann will cover northern Germany, A4-Solutions will handle the south, and discussions are ongoing with a partner for central Germany. The company aims to ensure rapid response times and high uptime for production systems, a key requirement for medical and high-volume packaging manufacturers.
